Teaching Experience

I am currently volunteering as a TA for Careers for Impact in Microbiology and Cell Science in order to create useful web navigation tools for the course.

I volunteered as a TA for Advanced Virology Lab to teach students cell cultivation techniques, standard methods for generating viruses, and virus quantification protocols.

I worked as a TA for Python Programming for Biologists to assist undergraduate and graduate students in troubleshooting their code and teach bash and Python fundamentals.

I volunteered as a TA for Antimicrobial Resistance to answer questions about course material, lead exam review sessions, and grade assignments.
Leadership

I am currently serving as the Secretary of the American Society for Microbiology, Student Chapter (ASM) at UF. My primary roles include, managing tabling for our organization, booking rooms for events, relaying information about upcoming events and opportunities to members, and keeping our spreadsheet of active members up-to-date.

I have been serving as the Vice President of Gator Microbiome for 1 year, and I will continue serving as VP for the next year. I handle much of the organizational and administrative work related to the organization, including registering the organization every year, amending our constitution, managing room bookings and tabling opportunities, and assigning responsibilities to other officers in collaboration with the President.
Involvement

Apart from ASM and Gator Microbiome, I am an Ambassador for CUR, or the UF Center of Undergraduate Research. I am a part of the Peer Advising committee, where we advise undergraduate students on finding research, pursuing scholarship programs and research opportunities outside campus, and maximizing their time in the research lab.

I served as a Public Speaking Lab Consultant at the UF Dial Center for Written and Oral Communication, where I guided undergraduate and graduate students on their public speaking course speeches, conference presentations, and speech and debate speeches.

I was part of the UF iGEM 2022 Wet Lab Team, where we worked on a viral vector system to deliver a CRISPR-Cas9 complex to target and stop cell proliferation and tumor growth associated with Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM). We competed virtually at the 2022 Paris Expo.
